Today in AVID we preformed a task where we had to take our quest folders off the wall and we had to show how many completed applications we had or acceptances we have in our folder. Then we had to right our names down according to how many we had the key is to have at least 5 completed applications/ acceptances and If you had all five your name goes in only once. If you four your name goes in twice, If you have three it goes in three times, for two its four, one is five times. But if you didn't have any your name goes in six times which gives you a bigger risk of getting called in the future. A scholar would get their name called out of the basket of names, one boy and one girl, and then Doña checks your blog to see if you are doing what is asked of you. If you have a good and updated blog then you will gain points for your house. If your blog is not updated then you will have a bad blog grade and you will lose points for your house. This Idea came from the book/movie "The Hunger Games" which we are getting assigned to read in 2012. I want to see where this idea takes the AVID family, I am anxious to see results.
