Im ready for Spring Break I need a break from grades and school work and just a break from Newtown. I need to just graduate from this school and move on with everything I cant stand this time of the year.

The weather outside is beautiful but my allergies are starting to act up early. They usually dont act up till late April but since we didn't have a true winter they are going to bother me. I am glad for the warm weather though. It is kind of early for it but oh well.

Today had to be one of the wildest days that I ever encountered this year at Newtown. Alot happened today but Im not going to go into detail due to what and who its about. But the weather is OK today its not what I thought it was going to be or how people were making it seem it would be like it is windy with an overcast which is not what was forecasted. Once again the meteorologist was incorrect about the weather.

Im guessing today was the rapping up of The Hunger Games. The book was good so I can only imagine how the movie is going to be. It is a must see and I hear that we are going on the 23 to go see it as a class. It is going to be an excellent movie and I cant wait to see it.

I had a good day today, it was a fun filled day with some good experiences. We,as in the seniors, took our class photo out in the courtyard outback. At first I couldnt see the numbers but they started to fill out and hopefully they turn out good. This is the mid way point to graduation and cant wait till June 7th 2012!!!!!

Today I had to work and I really didn't feel like it today. And on top of that I got in trouble for being 15 mins late to work and I got written up for it. I am so tired because I really didnt get any sleep last night. I need to get more rest at night.

I turned in my D4G today and I must say it looked pretty good if I do say so myself. My theme was Disney World and it included Mickey Mouse, Dumbo, and even the Epcot. But I forgot to take a picture of the drawing, but hopefully it gets reviews.

Today was the Black History Assembly at school and it was a good experience for everyone. What is bad is that people were talking during this learning experience. It was sad to see the disrespect being shown during the assembly, hopefully the next one turns out better.

I woke up tired from a long weekend from working hard. I had a good day today, I had fun in my classes with my peers but I still finished my classwork. The best part about today was that I got to watch the movie "I am Sam". I have been hearing much about this movie from a lot of people saying that it is a must see movie. Now that Ive watched it, I must say that it is a very good movie but it is also sad. It is about a mental impaired Man that is trying to raise a daughter by himself but has her taken away from him do to the state saying he isn't capable. The rest of the movie is his path on trying to get her back in his custody. I recommend it to everyone.

Today was a good day and I actually had a good time in school but whats not cool is this weather. The weather man lied about the weather it feels like 40 degrees outside and it is rainy and cloudy. We should protest against the news for them falsifying information. Weather is not anything to play with at all.

Back home from Ocean City today and I must say it feels good to be back. Im glad I had the opportunity to take a break from Baltimore and all of the things that were going on. I had a good time in Ocean City and I cant wait to go back.

Today was a very calm and cool day, nothing was too overwhelming and nothing exciting happened. I honestly have nothing exciting to talk about today but I am truly hungry and I am desperately need something to eat. Let me start off by saying Happy Valentines Day to everyone. My day was wonderful and it was full of joy and love I received a candy gram, a card, and another bag of candy. I am so thankful for my Valentine, she means alot to me and I hope everyone had a wonderful valentines day like I did 😊

Today surprisingly went by faster than I expected. But tonight is College Knowledge Night, and it is a night to inform all of the underclassmen about how the college process is ahead of the time. Im going to be representing Hampton and I have to act as a representative and tell the kids if they get accepted or not into the school based on the criteria of the school. I wish that we had this in my underclassmen years so we can know what awaits us. But I am glad to help my fellow students because I would love to see everyone in a four year college/university.

Wow it is weird how fast this month went by, it is already February. This month has been a long month for me because a lot went on during this month but it wont happen again. today was a good way to end the month with 60 degree weather and a slight breeze to top it off. It is just crazy that this is still the winter time and its already 60 degrees. Im really gonna hate to see the summer time and the heat thats going to come with it. I hope everyboy had a good day today.

In AVID we had an in depth discussion of The Hunger Games aand how it relates to the media and how things are today.  Its wierd becaus eeverytime we have an in depth dicussion everyone gets so serious and gives some valid points to the discussion.  This discussion was the best one if I do say so myself.  The points that people had were very valid and made people think about what they were going to say before it was said.  I honestly dont think that the book really was supposed to make us think as deep as we did today but it happens.  We went from the hunger games to the death penalty back to the hunger games to the media.  It was an ongoing discussion until Mr. Carney felt the need to give us a quiz on the book after we were coming in for lunch. But hey, its ok and I almost forgot, we also started our "Farcebook" pages for the characters in the Hunger Games.  I have Ceaser Flickerman who is the reporter so my "Farcebook" should be fairly easy to complete.

Today in AVID we learned about some activities that we will be completing involving The Hunger Games.  In class we all received characters from main characters to subsiding characters such as Katniss and some of the Tributes.  The assignment is to create a Facebook page for the characters and we have to use the facebook to talk through them as if we were in there shoes in the book.  We have to make wall post pertaining to the character like for Petta and Katniss they would be friendly but competitive because they are fighting for survival.  My character happened to be Ceaser Flickerman who is the reporter of the town, so my facebook post will most likely pertain to the reaping on the television.  This activity seem like it should be interesting and I cant wait to start it.

What to talk about, what to talk about, what to talk about????????????

          I know what I could start with and thats my day,  it was actually good and it was very fast paced and interesting.  Besides the fact that i had to take my final in health and that I was cold all throughout the day.  Also the fact that I need to get those papers put in my binder for AVID so I can get my grade in line ASAP.  I also got some great news today in art class. Today i found out that one of my drawings, well my epic drawing to be exact was placed in an art show and it is traveling but to bad I didnt snap a picture of it before it got sent out :(. I really don't anything exciting to tell any of you guys about -shrugs- maybe next time.

Its Martin Luther-King day and I am glad that we had someone like him to change the world not just for African American's but for everyone in the US. I didnt have a chance to go to the parade which is a yearly thing because I had to work today which was ver hectic. It was only four of us working with a copious amount of customers and then on top of that the gas stopped working and the phones cut off. We didnt have any customers for about a hour which was good because I took my break and had a little bit of extra time to do the fact of not having customers. So yesterday was a hard working day because everybody had to do something extra than usual but its going to look good for reviews from my managers.

Today had to be on of the MOST boring days I have had at school in a longggg time. Nothing really happened in school today nothing exciting at all I really didnt feel the whole school thing today to be completely honest. All I kept hearing all day was "Im so tired" all day. It just made me tired to hear everyone else say they were tired. just get some rest and everyone will be fine.

Today was a well put together day that was not that bad actually, the only thing I didnt like was the fact that it was a B-day which I despise. Its just something about B-days that make me not want to come to school at all. But besides that my day was very well and I had fun tonight because I was on Oovoo with some friends and we had a good time just laughing about things. But I need to start going to sleep earlier on the week days because i am always tired. I could barely stay up in school today, I kept fading in and out during classes so I really need to go to sleep earlier.

1-4-11 Toast For Change

    When I think of the word "change" so many things come to mind that I wish I could change such as my self esteem/motivation, the choices that I make and make financial issues that are going on around me.

     I have a low self-esteem and I set low standards for myself on a regular basis. I give up easily, I say I am I can't and I won't do things, and I always thought thought that I would never be successful. All of this truly started to turn around for me when I got into the seven schools that I applied to and two of them happened to be my top two school selections. In all honesty all I could do was cry tears of joy and thank god for the road that he is taking bringing me on. I am just happy that colleges actually want me on their campuses.

    Financial issues are another problem that is currently major in my life right now. I honestly have not seen neither of my parentes struggle before like I am watching them do now. With all of the things financially that is occuring, I really don't want to go out of town for college for the sake of saving. But my mom is encourage me to go to expirence different things and don't let home issues bind me into staying in Maryland. This whole sitution is going to become a learning expirience to finally realize that I cant let the bad things influence the good in my life.

     So in 2012, I will have self-confidence, I will have self-determination and motivation, I will get to college and live my dreams, and  I will make my parents and family proud of me. this is my year to show what Ive got and  shine bright

1-2-11

This is the last day we have off on this winter break and I wanted to spend it resting but I cant just do that all day. So around midday I went to get something to eat with my father at Cracker Barrel who has the best pancakes I have ever had. I highly recommend them to anyone that is willing to try their food. After diner we visited my Grandfather in the Hospital because he has pneumonia and something going on with his stomach. He is doing alot better than when he went in and I am happy to see him getting better. Hopefully he should be out by Friday.

Today was a very long and dull day because in all honesty I did not want to be in school at all. I was hoping for snow the night before so I could get one more day of resting but I cant get everything that I want. Today I had an effective day and I think that it went pretty fast for me actually, it seemed like classes zoomed pass and my day was over quicker than I expected. I am just glad to go home and lay down finally because I truely am Tired
